The Flame of the Shaman, a composition that links our ancestral shamanic traditions to the effervescence of the city.
This “sprawling” city, disconnected from the Earth and so far from nature which is almost absent, or struggles to survive.
Yet inside, we can all refocus, reunite. In meditation we rise up, and reconnect together to form a well of light. For despite the environment that surrounds us, the door is always within us, we are that door and everything happens inside. By force within ourselves, no matter where we are, we have access to it and are thus interconnected. We are all connected by the fibers of life, of love, of the universe that animates us and therefore have access to this connection within us.
The Flame of the Shaman, because I imagined this space as an Indian tent, and its traditions touch me very much. A way of arranging one’s interior in accordance with our rituals, with nature even if it seems far away, because this flame in us reconnects us to it. Finally a triangle upwards appears, as a symbol of action, of manifestation of this flame in us.
I also added these three little beings above my head (this is a self-portrait) that were not planned but joined me during the photos that were to serve as my model, and I thank them infinitely for their presence!
