“The Flying Scales”, realized in August 2020 is an oil on canvas with a lot of texture, in 30x30cm format.
I wanted to experiment, to test through the texture and new color palettes. The acrylic background in red and blue tones, then the oil paint in thickness where blue always finds a master place. The very pronounced texture gives a beautiful relief and effects of depth, shadow and light with contrast.
It emerges from this canvas a “school of fish” effect, a wave that takes its momentum, we can also see a wing and the aerial element, or scales. The interpretations are multiple!
